1. Controller
The controller for personal data processing in connection with DartVoice Pro is:
Vantaguard, owner René Marcel Köllgen

2. Scope and release status
This policy applies to the DartVoice Pro Android app (de.vantaguard.dartvoice). It distinguishes implemented local scoring and voice features from purchase, advertising and consent features planned for the upcoming release.
The app is not yet publicly available on Google Play. RevenueCat is already integrated for initialisation and purchase-status queries. Purchase and restore interfaces, Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) are being added for the release. The following sections cover their confirmed release configuration; this does not mean that ads or purchase dialogs are already active in every pre-release build.
3. Local app data
DartVoice stores app data locally in the IndexedDB database of its internal WebView. This includes:
- Player profiles with names, local identifiers and creation times, and optional profile colour, order or guest status
- Active and completed X01 and Around the Clock sessions, game rules, participants, throws, scores, progress, timestamps and results
- Match history, the evidence used for statistics and previous game states for Undo
- Local tournaments with participants, configuration, schedules and results
- Language, appearance, game defaults, input, Caller, sound, vibration and the “Automatic” or “Bluetooth” audio-route preference
These data support scoring, resuming games, results, statistics and your preferred controls. Statistics are calculated from recorded game events. These data require no Vantaguard user account, and there is no Vantaguard match cloud or automatic match synchronisation.
The route preference does not store a Bluetooth address or permanent device identifier. During an audio session, Android processes the route information it needs; a current device name may be displayed in the app.
4. Players, match history and recognised text
Player names and match data are stored locally. Deleting a player profile does not automatically remove participant copies already saved in match history or tournaments. The app also offers a local-data deletion function in Settings.
For X01 voice actions, the original recognised text may be stored with an accepted throw or bust, and in pending entry/finish confirmations. It can therefore also appear in match history and Undo snapshots. This is text evidence, not an audio recording. Around the Clock stores individual dart hits and input method; it has no separate raw-transcript field.
Draft dart proposals and their confirmation dialog are temporary; only a valid submission creates a game entry. Recognised text may also appear in local WebView diagnostic output. DartVoice has no dedicated external log-upload service for this.
5. Microphone and Android speech recognition
Voice input requires Android microphone permission. Manual input remains available without it. You can change permission in Android app settings.
DartVoice uses Android SpeechRecognizer with the recognition service configured on your device. Recognition runs in finite sessions, for example after pressing the microphone button or with Auto-listen enabled. The app does not implement a continuously running wake-word service.
DartVoice itself does not create or store raw audio files. The selected Android speech service may, however, process microphone audio and technical connection data externally, for example through Google. Whether processing takes place on the device or over a network depends on the service, device, language and settings. DartVoice does not enforce exclusively local or offline recognition. Processing and retention by the speech service are governed by its privacy information; for Google, see the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Speech output and Caller
The optional X01 Caller uses Android Text-to-Speech. Announcement text is passed to the configured TTS engine and may contain player names, scores, remaining scores, checkout routes and game events.
The installed and selected Android TTS engine processes this text. Depending on the engine and voice, processing may be local or network-based. DartVoice does not guarantee exclusively local speech output and does not create stored Caller audio files. The TTS provider’s privacy information also applies.
7. Permissions and internet access
Microphone access supports optional voice input. Bluetooth permissions support connected headsets on applicable Android versions; the app does not perform its own device discovery or pairing. Android audio settings are used to coordinate recognition and speech output safely.
Internet and network access support purchase-status checks and the planned advertising and consent services. Speech and TTS providers may also need a connection. External links you choose to open cause requests to the respective provider. Local game rules and manual scoring do not require a Vantaguard server.
8. Google Play Billing
Pro is planned as an optional one-time Lifetime purchase through Google Play for the release. Google processes purchases using your Google Play account. The app and purchase service receive product, transaction and purchase-status information needed to verify and provide access.
This integration does not give DartVoice or Vantaguard complete payment-instrument data such as credit-card numbers or full bank details from Google Play. Google handles payment processing and payment-data storage under its Privacy Policy. Google Play shows the applicable price before purchase.
9. RevenueCat and Pro access
DartVoice uses RevenueCat, Inc. to check purchase status and provide Pro access. Purchase and restoration of eligible purchases are being added for the release. The app uses an anonymous App User ID generated by the SDK instead of a Vantaguard account. This technical identifier is not a promise that no personal data is processed.
RevenueCat processes the App User ID, product/app identifiers, store purchase evidence, transaction and entitlement information, and technically necessary platform, app and connection data. SDK identifiers and purchase-status information may be cached locally. The audited billing path does not send player, match or voice data to RevenueCat.
Deleting local game data does not delete a Google Play purchase or automatically remove transaction data held by RevenueCat. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for processing, retention and contact information.
10. Google AdMob advertising – planned release
The Free version is planned to use Google AdMob: dashboard banner ads and possible interstitial ads at suitable game breaks after completed X01 legs. An ad is not guaranteed and depends on eligibility and availability, among other factors. A limit of at most two interstitial impressions within 20 minutes is also planned.
Active Pro access is planned to mean no ads and no banner or interstitial requests. Advertising is excluded from active legs, training, Around the Clock, speech recognition, Caller playback, entry/finish confirmations and Undo. Interstitial ads are planned only at an explicitly initiated safe transition after the result is visible.
When the advertising SDK is used, Google may process IP addresses, device/account identifiers including advertising identifiers where applicable, interactions and technical diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. IP addresses may indicate an approximate region. The extent and use depend on the SDK, settings and applicable choices. DartVoice does not plan to send player names, match history, recognised text or microphone recordings as custom advertising parameters.
See the Google Privacy Policy and Google’s information about partner sites and apps. To control ad frequency, DartVoice stores a local counter of completed Free competitive X01 legs and match, set and leg identifiers to prevent duplicate counting. It also stores the last confirmed Free/Pro status to manage the counter; this does not replace purchase-status checks. These records are held in the local app database and are not sent to Google or RevenueCat by this counter feature. They are also removed when you delete all local app data in Settings.
11. Google UMP, consent and privacy options
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) is planned for the release to provide required privacy information and choices, particularly in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. UMP may process technical device/connection information, the relevant region and consent status; choices and status information may be stored locally.
The choices displayed depend on region, Google configuration and legal requirements. Ads are requested only when the consent check allows a request. This technical eligibility status does not mean that every ad is automatically personalised.
A privacy-options entry is planned in the app to reopen required choice forms and change decisions. Its availability and scope depend on the requirement reported by UMP. This interface is being added with the release integration.
12. Personalised and non-personalised advertising
Whether personalised, non-personalised or limited ads are permitted and available depends on choices, region and Google settings. Non-personalised advertising does not automatically mean that no data is processed or no local identifiers are used; measurement and fraud prevention may still need technical data.
Where consent is required, the relevant processing follows your choice. Changing or withdrawing consent takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
13. Analytics and diagnostics
DartVoice has no separate Vantaguard analytics or crash platform, and the audited app code does not integrate Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics or Sentry. This does not exclude technical diagnostics or purchase/advertising-related analysis by Google, RevenueCat or configured Android services. Their privacy information governs their processing.
14. Retention, deletion and Android backup
Local game data generally remain until you delete them in the app, clear app data through Android or uninstall the app. The local-data deletion function in app Settings removes players, active sessions, match history, tournaments and saved app settings from the local database. It does not delete external purchase, consent or provider data and is not withdrawal of externally stored consent.
Android system backup is currently allowed for the app. Depending on Android version, manufacturer, configured backup service and settings, app data may be backed up or restored during a device change or reinstallation. This is not a Vantaguard-operated cloud service. Deleting data on the device does not guarantee immediate deletion of existing system backups; manage those through the relevant backup provider. No particular backup or complete restoration of all WebView data is guaranteed.
Google, RevenueCat and speech/TTS/backup providers determine retention of the data they process according to their services and contractual and legal requirements. No fixed external deletion periods are promised here.
15. Website, support and external links
This policy is a website page. The Vantaguard Privacy Policy also applies to its retrieval and general website processing. The new DartVoice page loads no advertising, analytics or consent SDK.
If you contact us, we process the contact details and content you provide to handle your request. Share match or diagnostic information only as needed for your request. External links open the respective operators’ services, whose privacy information applies.
16. Legal bases and international processing
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may apply to requested app and purchase functions where processing is necessary for the relevant contract or steps before entering into a contract. Consent-dependent advertising and related access to your device are governed by the required consent, in particular Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG. Technically necessary storage is assessed under the conditions of Section 25(2) TDDDG.
Where security, fraud prevention or responses to general enquiries rely on legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies with consideration for your rights. Legally required retention may rely on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Providers’ privacy information explains their specific processing and legal bases.
Google, RevenueCat and configured system providers may process data outside the EU or EEA. Providers describe processing locations and the applicable safeguards for transfers in their current privacy information.
17. Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
For processing under our responsibility, contact support@vantaguard.de. For processing by Google, RevenueCat or a system provider, you may also contact that provider directly. Vantaguard has no automatic remote access to your local match database.
18. Changes and date
We update this policy when app features, providers or data flows change. If the release configuration differs from the one described, this policy will be updated accordingly.
