Processing When You Use the Facebook Page

When you visit or interact with Vantaguard's Facebook Page, Meta may process personal data. The nature and scope of that processing depend, among other things, on whether you are logged in to Facebook, the settings you have selected and how you use the Page. Vantaguard does not receive all data that Meta processes in this context.

Vantaguard may process information that you make visible to the Page or actively send to us. This may include publicly visible profile information, comments, reactions or likes, direct messages and other communications. Comments, reactions and other public interactions may be publicly visible depending on Facebook's functionality and your settings. We process direct messages to handle your inquiry and retain them only for as long as needed for that purpose or to comply with legal obligations.

Page Insights and Joint Controllership

Meta provides Page operators with aggregated statistical information about use of their Page as “Page Insights.” Vantaguard does not receive the raw data or individual tracking records collected by Meta, but only aggregated statistics. For processing personal data in connection with Page Insights, Meta and Vantaguard may act as joint controllers in accordance with the Page Insights Controller Addendum. The allocation of responsibilities set out there applies in particular to information about the processing and handling data-subject requests concerning Insights Data held by Meta.

Purposes and Legal Bases

We process data available to us to present Vantaguard on Facebook, communicate with users, answer inquiries, provide information about our apps and evaluate aggregated Page statistics to improve our social-media presence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in public communication, user communication and designing our presence to meet users' needs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where an inquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Processing by Meta, Cookies and Transfers

Meta independently determines substantial parts of the processing on the Facebook platform. Meta may use cookies or comparable technologies when users use Facebook. Meta provides details in its Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. Meta may also process data outside the European Union or European Economic Area. Meta describes processing locations, safeguards and international data transfers in its current privacy information.

Your Rights and Contact

Subject to the statutory requirements, you generally have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. For processing carried out solely under Meta's responsibility, you may contact Meta directly. You may contact Vantaguard using the details above concerning processing for which Vantaguard is responsible. For Page Insights processing under joint controllership, you may exercise your rights against either controller; the practical allocation of responsibilities is governed by the Page Insights Controller Addendum.

6. SSL/TLS Encryption
